Just like a tugboat bringing a huge ship to the dock, the Ensure® Smart Logger acts as a helper to bring all of the data from complete BAS systems to our servers to take advantage of our advanced analysis and reporting services. This integration significantly enhances Ensure®’s functionality and now enables direct billing within the system, according to the official Canadian guidelines. By incorporating this advanced metering technology, Ensure® now offers accurate and efficient energy billing, simplifying the process for users and improving overall energy consumption management.

The system communicates directly with the Measurement Canada-approved BTU meter using BACnet/IP, a widely adopted protocol that facilitates seamless data exchange between building automation systems and devices. Sontex manufactures the Superstatic 440, a highly precise and reliable BTU meter. Measurement Canada has approved the Superstatic 440, confirming that it meets strict national standards for measurement accuracy. This approval is essential for regulated billing applications, as it ensures the meter delivers accurate energy measurements needed for billing. In this integration, the system supports a condominium tower with a geothermal heat exchange (GHX) system, featuring 40 boreholes drilled to a depth of 600 feet. These boreholes facilitate heat exchange between the ground and the building, providing an efficient and sustainable energy solution.
